Project Engineer – Bangkok, Thailand
I am from Bangkok in Thailand. From an early age I was destined to be an Engineer.
Having received my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, I worked for a Thai company as a Senior Engineer. From there I joined DEEPSEA Thailand.
My initial training period was spent in the UK, where I was based for three months. This gave me the opportunity to learn more about the company as a whole and the work that we do, as well as the opportunity to live and work in the UK, a country I had not previously had the opportunity to visit but had always wanted to. During this time I learned a great deal about pipeline design, structural analysis, on-bottom stability and free spanning.
Throughout my initial training period, and since, I have been able to work on challenging and varied projects, which I thoroughly enjoy. My current project involves pipelines, wellhead platform, riser and PLEM subsea assembly, and incorporates all the aspects from design, procurement, fabrication and installation, to hook-up and commissioning.
DEEPSEA has, to date, afforded me the opportunity to work on projects that enable me to continually develop and stretch my existing knowledge, as well as working with a great team of people.
I continually look forward to the next challenge and believe that working at DEEPSEA will allow me many more opportunities that I may not have received otherwise.
