| DEEPSEA Engineering and Management has an immediate requirement for a Subsea Engineering Team Leaders / Senior Engineers
DEEPSEA is a rapidly expanding subsea engineering contractor specializing in complex deep-water projects. We are headquartered in the UK, with engineering resource centers presently in London, Houston, Aberdeen, Bangkok and Perth. We are looking to recruit exceptional individuals to lead teams of Engineers in our offices throughout the world.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Successful candidates will be enthusiastic and dynamic engineers with responsibility for:
- Independently handling the Structural Design phase of projects, consisting of Conceptual Design, Front End Engineering Design, Detailed Design and Construction Interface.
- Performing checking/reviewing activities and ensuring technical accuracy and quality of discipline deliverables such as drawings, MTO's and specifications.
- Planning, organizing and delegation of work to drafting staff working on assigned projects.
- Ensuring adherence to company procedures, client specifications and guidelines.
- Ensuring the timely issuance of all engineering deliverables for each scope.
- Working within the estimated budget and ensuring high project efficiency.
- Good communication (oral) skills including experience with presentations to large audiences and leading group meetings.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years experience in engineering and/or project management.
- Demonstrated project engineering experience.
- Experience managing engineering teams.
- Competence in a specific field of engineering, e.g. Subsea Engineering, Structural Dynamics, Metallurgy and Welding, Naval Architecture, Petrochemicals, Instrumentation Systems.
- Strong knowledge of engineering design processes.
- Good oral and written communication skills including experience with presentations to large audiences and with leading group meetings.
- Demonstrated written skills for technical report writing.
Preferred Skills and knowledge:
- Experience in subsea engineering.
- Knowledge of offshore installation procedures for subsea architecture and installation experience.
Related design and analysis experience with the following mechanical systems will be considered for these positions: Riser pipe analysis, Offshore platforms (all types), Drill ships, FPSO's, Subsea Production Systems and related hardware.
