DEEPSEA was Formed in the UK in May 2000, specifically to provide advanced engineering services for riser, pipeline and umbilical design to deepwater customers.

At this time (1999-2000) there was a general consolidation in the market ahead of the biggest step change in offshore engineering understanding since the move to hostile environments for the North Sea in the 1970's. This step change in technical understanding for the design of subsea systems, and the upcoming engineering requirements for new deepwater fields was the basis of the company's market opportunity.

The company has enjoyed year on year growth and established engineering offices in London, Houston and Bangkok with plans for further global expansion to Stavanger, Perth, Rio de Janeiro and Kuala Lumpur throughout 2007/8.
