As the Subsea Boosting Engineer you will assist in tenders and projects for subsea process projects. The ideal candidate will have subsea process and subsea boosting experience, but experience inclusive of topside process is valuable. This position will be able to work independently with our subsea process and boosting staff under limited supervision, receives occasional guidance on complex or unusual problems. Coordinates activities of the project engineering team related to the design, fabrication and testing of subsea systems including resolving design problems, modifying designs and scheduling of tests for efficient and timely delivery of the systems. Working under general direction, the Senior Subsea Boosting Engineer shall be the technical authority within Subsea boosting. Experience in subsea pump manufacturing and engineering will play a key role in this position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • In this position, you will be the technical lead in the project team in accordance with work scope.
  • Lead the engineering scope in subsea pump systems in studies, tender work and execution phases of a project.
  • Participate in technology development for the client.
  • Results focused within a team environment.
  • Provide technical/engineering support in business development related tasks (tenders, marketing etc).
  • Ensure that relevant quality and HSE standards are met within team.
  • Use client Project Execution Model (incl. global & local procedures) during execution.
  • Perform engineering change management.
  • Be the technical authority (product lead) on subsea rotating machinery and subsea pump solutions.
  • Responsible for pumps and implementation in subsea boosting systems.
  • Lead subsea boosting system studies from early phase to detail engineering and execution as a work package manager or task force team.
  • Provide support to life cycle operations.
  • Initiate and conduct team meetings as needed.
  • Monitor and report progress and cost to project manager.
  • Conduct proper follow-up with relevant sub-suppliers to ensure agreed quality and timely delivery on budget, review supplier documentation and handle quality issues.
  • Establish and control relevant engineering documentations.
  • Ensure that documentation follows relevant standards and is filed and transmitted according to client guidelines.
  • Participate in project meetings as defined in agreement with project manager.
  • Define scope of documents (incl. drawings) by setting up relevant MDL. (also overseas)

1. BS/MS degree with technical focus on rotating equipment (mechanical) with 5+ years relevant industry experience (Subsea projects preferred).
2. Experience and understanding of the subsea business - sales, tendering, pumps and subsea technology.
3. Proved results in relevant team management and experience in leading a technical team in front of customers.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong cross-cultural understanding.
