We are currently looking for a Subsea Structures Engineer with experience of producing detailed design of structures and their associated foundations. The role will be based with our rapidly expanding team in Epsom.

Job Summary:

Conceptual and detailed design of subsea structures and their associated foundations, including deepwater suction anchors, leveling frames and piping structural supports and shallow water piled or gravity based structures and associated protection.

Platform and Floating production system design and modification experience.

Extensive detailed knowledge of European and US structural design codes and material and welding specifications used in the offshore industry.

Conceptual and detailed design of seafeastening, vessels modifications, installation aids etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise other Discipline Engineers within the Project Group and Technical Authorities
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation, industry standards and company procedures.
  • Act as a Company Representative on specific worksites as and when required.
  • Reviews, comments and verifies contractor's engineering, focusing on the seabed foundations, steel structure, and piping supports.
  • Reviews and comments on specifications, requisitions, designs, procedures, layout arrangements and all documentation issued by the installation contractors.
  • Assists with the management of the pipeline design and installation contractors.
  • Prepares and presents technical dossiers.
  • Reviews, comments and participates in risk assessments.
  • Preparing technical specification and scopes of work.
  • Implementation of project control procedures.
  • Coordinates technical queries and compiles responses.
  • Manages and liaises with the engineering verification contractors.
  • Maintains documented and verified records.
  • Regularly informs the Engineering Interface Coordinator of progress and any potential problems

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the offshore oil industry gained from working in a similar role or project environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of pipeline ancillary structures, pipeline operations and related inspection procedures.
  • Familiar with the Management and control of pipeline construction-related contracts.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role

Relevant Bachelors Degree
