With proven success on the most challenging deepwater projects, our in-depth knowledge and expertise in the subsea engineering and project management of the SURF (Subsea Umbilicals Risers & Flowlines) arena has been applied throughout the project timeline, from concept selection to detailed design and verification.
For projects requiring greater technical assurance or facing distinctive challenges, DEEPSEA employs advanced engineering techniques to complement the full range of “standard” services. Not all our projects require this specialized, unique approach, but for those that do, we offer the best in state-of-the-art design and analysis capabilities producing industry-leading results.
As well as an advanced understanding of steel products DEEPSEA also specializes in the design of flexible and umbilical products in deepwater. Our detailed understanding of these structurally complex systems and our ability to fully evaluate the installation loading conditions is commonly called upon by installation contractors.
DEEPSEA has a highly capable, experienced team of engineers whose understanding of system design principles, the underlying physics and the available numerical and analytical tools is unrivalled.
DEEPSEA offers two service tiers to operators in support of deepwater developments throughout the project timeline:
• Engineering Services - Engineering design, analysis and system specification for risers, umbilicals and flowlines, from concept through to detailed design, installation and commissioning
• Technical Management - This service is designed to provide client projects with the additional resources and services to efficiently meet project objectives. These include provision of individuals to the project management team, vendor management, studies for tender preparation and bid evaluation, criticality/reliability and costing as well as consulting on contracting strategy and sparing policy.
By structuring our offering this way, DEEPSEA is able to provide each project all necessary services from Early Concept Select phase through to detailed design, verification work and vendor management during execution.
In addition to the full range of “standard” services expected of an engineering consultancy, DEEPSEA develops advanced engineering techniques used on projects that require greater technical assurance.
